Efficacy outcomes were analyzed by calculating the Hedge's g effect-size for each trial with the uncertainty of each result being expressed by their 95% confidence intervals (CI). An effect-size of 0.2 to 0.3 is thought to be a “small” effect, around 0.5 a “medium” effect, and 0.8 to infinity, a “large” effect [28].
