Table 4a,b shows parameter estimates from twin analyses of the PYDD residual score based on the AE model and the models of PYDD regressed on SLE and onset age. In the baseline PYDD model for women (Table 4a), genetic and individual-specific environmental influences accounted for 47 and 53%, respectively of variation in PYDD. For men (Table 4b), genetic and individual-specific environmental factors accounted for 43 and 57%, respectively of variation in PYDD.
