In data set 2, we observed significant negative correlations between the compulsive scores and mean EC strength from the left pre-SMA to right putamen (r = −0.55, P < 0.001, FDR corrected, P < 0.001, Fig. 7A), from the right dACC to right putamen (r = −0.64, P < 0.001, FDR corrected, P < 0.001, Fig. 7B). Additionally, significant positive correlations were found between impulsive scores and mean EC strength from the right NACC to left pre-SMA (r = 0.66, P < 0.001, FDR corrected, P < 0.001, Fig. 7C).
