Data collection and analysis were not performed blind to the conditions of the experiments. Data collection was not randomized and there was no randomization in the organization of the experimental conditions or stimulus presentations. Samples were assigned to the various experimental groups based on the phenotypic criteria described in the UK Biobank, 23andMe, Major Depressive Disorder Working Group of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC), 23andMe replication sample, and polygenic risk scores analysis sections in the Online Methods.
