Genotype and RNAseq data were obtained for 538 European individuals through the CommonMind Project14. The mean age of these individuals was 67.4 years. RNA-seq data were generated from post-mortem human dorso-lateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC). The gene expression matrix was normalized to log(counts per million) using voom. Adjustments were made for known covariates (including sample ascertainment, quality, experimental parameters, ancestry) and surrogate variables, using linear modelling with voom-derived regression weights.
