Replication and extension of findings will require even larger sample sizes. With the development of the GPC, we hope to continue consortium efforts and to develop new collaborations that will lead to discoveries not only in genetic etiology but also in disease definition, endophenotypic measures, co-morbidities, treatment, and other clinical and epidemiological areas.
