The glucose uptake assay was done according to Sebastián et al.42. Cells were grown under normal conditions for 24 hr and 100 mM 2-NBDG (Invitrogen) was added to the media for 2 hr. Fluorescence was measured in a FACSCalibur Analyzer (BD).
