Samples were prepared in five balanced batches (4 with 8 pairs, 1 with 10 pairs) with the untreated and treated samples from each subject in the same batch. Samples were processed by polyA capture using Dynabeads mRNA DIRECT Micro Kit (Life Technologies, Carlsbad, CA) starting with 1.5 mg of total RNA. PolyA RNA was processed using Life Technologies SOLiD™ Total RNAseq kit (Life Technologies, Carlsbad, CA). Sequencing beads were produced separately for each batch using the SOLiD™ EZBead™ System (Life Technologies, Carlsbad, CA). Each batch was sequenced separately on a SOLiD 5500xl DNA sequencer (ThermoFisher/Life Technologies, Carlsbad, CA).
