Aim 1 (common variation) is the core business of the PGC: to conduct progressively larger GWAS mega-analyses and systematic cross-disorder analyses (42). Figure 3a depicts the progression of sample sizes with time. Our goal is for each of the nine disorder working groups to obtain GWAS data on 100,000 cases. More information on case definitions can be found in Table S3.
