(Koivumaa-Honkanen et al. 2004a, b). LSS scores have demonstrated significant association with completed suicide over a 20-year follow-up, independent of age, sex, alcohol use, smoking status and physical activity (Koivumaa-Honkanen et al. 2001). In a mixed clinical sample, LSS scores were associated with anxiety, depressive and psychotic disorder diagnoses, and with use of antidepressant and sedative–hypnotic medications, alcohol and drug use, and BDI scores (Koivumaa-Honkanen et al. 1996).
