As can be seen, the EEE estimates are very near to their simulated counterparts. Clearly, these estimates are quite good and suggest that when using EEE to estimate power from published simulation studies, investigators will obtain accurate estimates and rarely be in error by more than 3 absolute percentage points of power (Tables 1–4).
