Personality traits neuroticism and extroversion were measured with items included in the 15-item Big Five Inventory (Hahn et al., 2012). For both traits, we created a 3-item sum variable ranging from 3 to 21. Interitem reliability ranged from acceptable to good: neuroticism (α = 0.72) and extroversion (α = 0.87).
