Enriched in control vs BP neurons Ninety-five transcripts were expressed 1.5-fold or higher in control vs BP neurons, including genes involved in cytoskeletal organization and function, cell surface/extracellular matrix factors, apoptosis, DNA repair, in cell cycle, and in signaling. Genes involved in early neuronal differentiation and in dorsal patterning of the CNS including EMX2, EOMES, TCF3 as well as VGLUT1 (SLC17A7; previously reported to be decreased in BP54) were enriched in control but not BP neurons; there was a single significant cluster of nuclear factors (Table 4iv; Supplementary Table 10).
