the Self-Rating of the Effects of Alcohol (SRE) instrument measuring LR as the average number of drinks for up to four effects (initial feeling any effect of alcohol, slurring speech, stumbling, and unwanted falling asleep) during the approximate first five times of drinking (SRE First 5) (Schuckit et al., 2011b). The SRE instrument has a one-year repeat reliability of .66 (Ray et al., 2007), and Cronbach α of 0.88 in the current sample.
