The relationship between these two SNPs is shown in Table 3(a), with three sparse cells representing the evolutionary history between rs16969968 and rs588765. Table 3(b) shows the association between the diplotypes and nicotine dependence using the GG_CC diplotype (lowest risk) as the reference group, and that the AA_CC diplotype is associated with the highest risk for nicotine dependence.
