We also applied qPCR analyses to examine the expression levels of a set of 12 genes in all of the available livers of the mice shown in Figure 1 (Table S3), as well as in mice that were provided a delayed 6 week exposure to HFD (weeks 6–12 of age) (Table S4), which by-passed the final period of liver maturation (weeks 3–6) [31]. These analyses showed that differences in Cyp1b1-ko mice that were selected for their robust suppression of BW were retained when averaged for the full groups shown for the diet responses in Figure 1.
