Interrogation of databases such as GTeX (22) did not indicate that any of the genes in the top region have distinct patterns of brain gene expression. Searches using both GTeX and the SNP tag lookup function in MRbase (www.mrbase.org/beta) indicated that that the top SNP (rs4622308) is not, directly or via LD tagging, an eQTL or mQTL. In addition, differential expression in an exploratory mouse model did not suggest a distinct pattern of gene expression (Supplementary Figure S7).
