Candidate clusters from both men and women were also found within the delta-gamma domain, albeit in mostly non-overlapping regions. The only significant PAC cluster seen in women (W6) straddles the boundaries of delta and theta bands (2.5–3.5 Hz) in phase frequency, and across beta/gamma boundaries (26–33 Hz) in amplitude frequency ranges. Cluster W6 is also notable in that it was the only cluster of significantly lower PAC in the AUD group compared to their unaffected counterparts (cluster 6: AUD median = 0.747, unaffected median = 0. 7547, U = 23568, p = 0.0122, CLES = 0.572, r = 0.144).
