In this study of the developmental trajectories of EEG coherence, the age and region specific covariance between coherence measures is studied as an indication of the age and sex varying topographic differences between the factors influencing the development of neural connectivity, as a necessary complement to the study of the means and variances of the individual coherence measures. Examination of the trajectories of coherence by themselves cannot determine whether parallel trajectories are the result of a common underlying process or several independent but parallel processes.
