KDR is a receptor of VEGF growth factor. As such, it is a key regulator of blood vessel formation (Folkman and D'Amore, 1996). We observe strong correlation between KDR protein levels and activity of the angiogenesis hallmark (IC = 0.580, p < 4.76×10−7).
