Systemic administration of the CB1 receptor, AM281, blocked the memory disruptive effects of intrahippocampally administered WIN 55,212-2 in the t-maze delayed alternation and place recognition tasks (Suenaga and Ichitani 2008; Suenaga, et al 2008).These findings, taken together, suggest that the hippocampus is an important target for systemically administered cannabinoids.
