What is striking about Figure 7 is the similarity of the male and female trajectories. In this analysis, the male trajectories are based solely on the distances between male covariance matrices, the female trajectories solely on the distances between female covariance matrices; no direct male-female distances are shown here. The calculated male-female distances are shown in Figure 9 below.
