ability to classify subjects with ADHD was higher than the ability to accurately classify the AE subjects suggesting that this profile has stronger specificity than sensitivity in relation to AE. In addition, when analyses were conducted without subjects from the South African cohort, the results were no longer significant and did not support a unique profile of AE. Changes in sample size, and thus statistical power may have impacted this supplemental analysis. Regardless, future research should investigate whether a different profile exists for the comparison between AE and ADHD or whether the combination of this profile and other measures that improve sensitivity can improve classification accuracy for alcohol-affected subjects.
