Two Per3 KO female mice (C57BL/6J background) were obtained from Vanderbilt University. Creation of the KOs is described in Pendergast et al.44 The original Per3 KOs were created on a 129/Sv background.45 The KOs were then backcrossed to the C57BL/6J strain.
