for ERS2). For triglycerides, ORs ranged from 1.54 (95% CI, 1.15, 2.06) for ERS2 and single-phenotype approach to 2.03 (95% CI, 1.52, 2.70) for ERS2 and the multi-phenotype. These ORs were comparable to or even stronger than those for socio-demographic factors or BMI (Table S6). For example, the OR of the association between total cholesterol and ERS from single-pollutant models (1.45) was consistent with ORs for females vs. males (1.47); for non-Hispanic blacks vs. non-Hispanic white (1.42); and for a 30 kg/m2 increase in BMI (1.47); and stronger than ORs for <high school vs. college or higher (1.20).
