Several additional characteristics that relate to heavier drinking also relate to the Low LR to alcohol. Regarding sex, men have lower LRs per drink than women, and regarding ethnic backgrounds, EA and Hispanic individuals show lower LRs than Asian and AA subjects (Ehlers et al., 2004; Eng et al., 2007; Pederson et al., 2013; Schuckit et al., 2012b).
