There was significant convergence between the genes identified by clustered, nominally-positive SNPs for addiction and those identified in generally similar fashion for association with neuroticism (Uhl et al, in preparation, reanalysis of [121]). Of the 31,110 SNPs with nominal p < 0.05 for comparisons of individuals with high vs low neuroticism scores, 4,623 SNPs lie in 903 clusters that each contain ≥ 4 such SNPs.
