Participant characteristics are summarized in Table 1. Four Asian participants were excluded from the secondary analysis, as the small number precluded the investigation of racial interactions with genotype. No significant differences (p’s>.05) between genotype were found for any of the baseline measures in Table 1, including race, gender, age, baseline CO, baseline cigarettes a day, FTND score, history of depression, or years as a smoker. Additionally, no significant differences were observed between African American and Caucasian participants for any of the baseline characteristics.
