The homogenised tissue samples were incubated at room temperature (15–25°C) for 5 min. After incubation, 160 μL of chloroform (CHCl3) (Sigma-Aldrich, Gillingham, UK) was added, the plates were mixed vigorously using the TissueLyser II for 30 s at 30 Hz. Plates were incubated at room temperature (15–25°C) for 7–10 min. The plates were centrifuged at 6000 g for 45 min at 4°C.
