Interestingly, other SNPs in CSNK1E have been associated with both heroin addiction in a case-control study (Levran et al. 2008) and ADHD in a family-based genome-wide association study (Mick et al. 2010), suggesting another possible link between ADHD, sensitivity to stimulants and drug abuse.
