3D protein structure is a key enabler for drug discovery, but also for understanding the likely impact of molecular aberrations on protein function, and generating hypotheses for disease causation. canSAR maintains a weekly update of 3D structural data from PDBe (26). At the time of writing, canSAR contained >518 000 protein chains from >171 000 PDB structures.
