Population-based controls from the EPIC-Norfolk (European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition - Norfolk) study24 were genotyped in the follow-up stage. Samples, not previously genotyped as part of the EPIC-Obesity Study25 were selected to have BMI greater than or equal to 20 and less than or equal to 25.
